FAQ

Product Questions

Do you make custom patches?

Sorry, but we are not taking custom orders at this time for orders of less than 1,000 patches. If you have an order of that size, please contact us for rates and delivery times.

Do you have a patch of…?

The only patches we have available for purchase are the patches shown on the website. If it isn't there, we don't have it... yet! We are always adding new designs, especially customer suggestions. So, if you have a patch idea that you think we should sell, please email us.

I don't see the patch I'm looking for on your website.

If the patch does not appear on the website, we don't have it. We are also unable to make variations on patches you see (for example, we can't do a patch you see but in a different color).

Who designs the patches you sell?

All of the patches we sell are designed and manufactured by us. These are all "Cypress Collectibles Inc." brand patches. No one else carries them and no one else is licensed to sell them. We believe our designs are of the highest quality and show the most detail. That might not mean a lot if you are ordering a red-white-and-blue striped French flag, but it means a lot more when you compare the intricate detail of our Florida flag patch (for example), which far surpasses the quality and look of other brands.

Can you iron-on your patches?

Yes! All of our patches come ready to iron on to virtually any garment. Each patch has a thin polymer backing that when heated and then cooled will permanently stick to any item it is attached to. The backing is thin enough that if you want to sew on the patches, you won't even notice it. We include detailed iron-on instructions with every order. Please do not attempt to iron patches onto leather, satin, nylon, rayon, or any tri-acetate fabric that will fail at 400 degrees.

Can you iron-on patches to leather?

No! Do not ever attempt to iron a patch onto leather. The heat from the iron will damage the leather and likely leave dark burn marks. Some high-quality ultra-premium leathers are able to resist the heat of an iron, but these leathers will also not stick to the iron-on backing when melted. The best way to attach a patch onto leather is by sewing. Your local shoe repair store has heavy-duty sewing machines that can easily sew through leather and most will be happy to sew a patch on a leather vest or jacket for a very small fee

What is the best way to sew on my patches?

If you are sewing by hand, we recommend using a 1/8th-inch blanket stitch. If you are sewing by machine, we recommend using 15-stitches per inch set to a zig-zag setting. Never use a straight stitch on a sewing machine; it will cut right through the patch.

What about VELCRO® backing?

Many of our patches are available with official VELCRO® Brand backing. We pay extra for the industrial strength hook backings, so when you stick a patch onto your hat or backpack, it is definitely not falling off. VELCRO® is a registered trademark of Velcro BVBA, used with permission.

Shipping

When will my order ship?

We pack up and ship orders around the clock during the week. In most cases, your order will ship in 12 hours or less from when your payment clears. Orders placed after 5pm Central on Fridays are postmarked for the following Monday. Our fast shipping is one of the biggest reasons we have so many repeat customers.

Where do you ship from?

All of our items ship from our warehouse in Austin, Texas.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes! We ship more than 50 packages overseas every single day and have literally thousands of happy customers around the world.

What countries do you ship to?

We ship to the USA, Canada, UK, European Union, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. We no longer ship to Russia, South America, Central America, the Middle East (except Israel), and the Far East (except Japan) due to the large number of lost packages in these regions.

How much does shipping cost?

Customers in the United States $2.49 for First Class Parcel service with full tracking. International customers pay $3.95 shipping. All orders over $25 ship free!! Please note: we are not responsible for any taxes, duties, or tariffs imposed by foreign governments during import.

How will my item arrive?

Patches will ship in either a brown bubble-lined envelope or a white rigid envelope (depending on order size) and include a free tracking number with your order.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Yes. US-based customers can upgrade to Priority Mail for a flat $6.99. Delivery time on Priority Mail is usually 2 business days anywhere in the USA. International customers can upgrade to USPS Priority Mail International for a flat $42.99. Delivery time on international Priority Mail is usually 4-7 business days. In both cases, we have priced expedited shipping at market rates, and we make no profit on postage.

Returns

What is your return policy?

We accept all returns within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked. Simply send us back the embroidered patches you do not want, and we will credit you with a full refund. Please note: we will not refund any patches that have already been ironed on or sewn onto a garment. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Please see our Returns Policy Page for more information.

I received the wrong item!

Ooops! Sorry about that. Because we ship so many items and because many patches look alike, we sometimes (very rarely, but sometimes) accidentally ship the wrong patch. If this happens, we will provide a free postage-paid return shipping container when we re-mail the correct patches.

I received a defective item!

We make every effort to inspect every patch before it is mailed, but sometimes a dropped stitch or a small blemish will make it past our employees. If this happens, we will replace the item at no charge.

Can I make an exchange?

Yes. We offer a 30-day, no-questions-asked exchange policy. Simply mail us back the patches, and we will quickly mail out the new patches upon receipt. Please include a note with your order number and name so we can identify you. Please also include the item numbers and exact name of the patches you would like to exchange for (we sell more than a dozen versions of "US Flag Patch", so be specific). Please note: we will not refund any patches that have already been ironed on or sewn onto a garment. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
